"Researching teaching and learning is not a
typical task for CEGEP students. However, as
part of their college career, Elio Desbiens and
Justine Schwartz had the opportunity to take
part in a research project on the development
of learning maturity led by Julie Roberge, a
researcher and literature teacher at Cégep
André-Laurendeau. This job, which allowed
them to take an active part in the research
study, paid off far more than the salary they
received. In this engaging report, the students
share their experiences and learning outside
