dc.description.abstract "The importance of sustainability is increasing globally. It is crucial to provide students with opportunities that foster environmentally responsible lab practices.Many of the current chemistry labs can be easily adjusted using the 12 Green Chemistry Principles first introduced by Anastas and Warner in 1998. For example, a lab that abides by these principles minimizes the use and generation of hazardous substances. By purposely incorporating these principles in the creation of labs, students are given environmentally friendly practical alternatives while fostering their development as global citizens.The objective for this workshop is to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices by introducing greener labs that fulfill curriculum requirements as well as present online resources and supportive communities." -- AQPC fr
