dc.description.abstract |
Interested by the high dropout level in Quebec’s institutions of higher learning, the authors state that the models we have to explain the phenomenon actually justify only a small fraction of the number of dropouts in the province. As a result, they studied the factors related to academic perseverance in order to determine if student gender and disability influence students’ perception of and satisfaction with the main aspects of college life. This research also attempted to ascertain whether the satisfaction rate constitutes a reliable tool in predicting outcomes and academic perseverance among the student population. The article reviews the study’s observations and conclusions. |
